What an awesome day, sunshine, leaves shimmering through the trees, a perfect “fall” day for everyone to share in the fellowship of the 7th annual guylas cook-off. There were 12 outstanding cooks that participated, some for the first time, some returning for the 7th time. A sponsored event at the Hungarian Cultural Center of Northwestern Ohio in Hiram. We had an attendance of about 150 folks. Our judges were Ivona Molnar ( baker extraordinary) Colby “Cheese” Juron (chef at Birdie kings in Chardon), Lajus Verhas (HCC Trustee) and Demi ( sorry, we did not get his last name), he drove all the way from Washington DC just for this event.
